This piece was commissioned by a mother-in-law with a sense of humor. Her son-in-law is an Air Force pilot. When she overhead him talking about a turkey shoot one day, she invisioned them using real turkeys as targets. They all had a good laugh when she realized what a turkey shoot really is and shared her vision. To keep the joke going, she had Maxine create this piece for her son-in-law. The turkey as made with feathers cut from original canes over a carcas built by both Maxine and Tom. The base was made by Tom with some Walnut Hollow wood blanks, his airbrush and Easy Metal Foil. |
